Untitled edit

I lived in Kelburn for a year while traveling through NZ, but I really can't think of anything else to add here.--Djramey 13:30, 6 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Historical detail edit

I currently live in Kelburn. I have added a little historical detail about the origin of the suburb name. Juan Incognito 11.31, 2/3/2006 (NZT)

Chinese Embassy edit

Why does the Embassy's website say it's located in Kelburn instead of Thorndon than? http://www.chinaembassy.org.nz/eng/sgxx/t39414.htm Djramey 12:07, 22 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The embassy website is incorrect (although its PO Box seems to know that it is in Thorndon). See this map of official suburb boundaries from the Suburbs page. The blank between Northland, Thorndon and Kelburn is the Botanic Gardens; the boundary line between Kelburn and Thorndon is defined by Glenmore St. The Embassy is located on the Thorndon side of Glenmore St. (Mail addressed to the Embassy with a Kelburn address will still reach it, though.)
