Publicity release?

This article reads too much like a public relations release. The vocabulary and viewpoint are in the style of PR, not encyclopedic. Zaslav (talk) 21:02, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Violation issue

Yesterday, I made some amendments to Keira Knightley’s Wikipedia page after it was violated. How do I report a violation issue? Scf1985 (talk) 09:05, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

If you see any issues with the page, report them here and someone should fix it. Govvy (talk) 10:02, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

I’ve already fixed them. I just wanted to know who I report any violations to Scf1985 (talk) 10:32, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

Depends on the violation, the admin board is WP:AN, it's split up and has lots of sections. Have a good browse. Govvy (talk) 11:11, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

Married name

Due to this edit, I've decided to address possible legitimate concerns about Wikipedia policy concerns regarding WP:BLPPRIVACY before attempting a revert. I added the name change using these primary sources[1][2] however the name change has mostly been reported in minor or tabloid sources.[3][4] BLPPRIVACY states that "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth [...] by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public." The reason I included the name change was because Knightley has spoken about the topic publicly before, and appeared to be comfortable with it being reported, and one could infer it isn't a matter of purposeful concealment.[5][6] If any editors disagree with its inclusion based on this policy, please discuss the matter here :)--Bettydaisies (talk) 18:59, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

It will be helpful. But you actually have to see it written down, and I found I couldn't do it. I couldn't go there. Yet.

Headings

I find this series of edits to be somewhat unconstructive given both the lack of edit summaries and the arrangement of information.

  • Knightley herself noted that a new phase of her career began in 2014, but this isn't signified by the edited headings.
  • As far as I can see, Jack Ryan is the only mainstream film in the edited 2011-2017 section; the wording of the sections also ignores The Imitation Game, Anna Karenina, and A Dangerous Mind all being period films as well.
  • The "Return to period roles" consists of two entire period roles among the five films done since 2018, her most recent and upcoming projects not even belonging to the category.

I have my own suggestions myself, but I encourage editors to discuss proposals for headings under here.--Bettydaisies (talk) 04:05, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

Sorry for being late, the best option is the 2nd option, the first option may have contained original research and 3rd option seems similar to the first option. Ethan2345678 (talk) 01:44, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

There are not options, they are each arguments against the linked mass-edit that I put in place to avoid an edit war. Thanks.--Bettydaisies (talk) 03:45, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

I think maybe it’s a good idea to invite other editors who’re interested in this. Ethan2345678 (talk) 04:06, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Again, I made this section as a pre-emptive port for an edit war that didn't take place and an outlet for users who wanted to discuss the matter in the future. You're free to start a debate or tag any editors your'd like. It doesn't seem to be an issue of active complaint.--Bettydaisies (talk) 08:00, 7 July 2021 (UTC)

Typo correction: change "Knightly" to "Knightley" in the penultimate paragraph of the 2014-present section. The sentence is "Variety's Guy Lodge dubbing Knightly "likable as ever"" Lt Tyrone Slothrop (talk) 10:56, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

Period Queen

How about the inclusion of her title of 'The Queen of Period Pieces' in the leed per MOS:BIO?

Punctuation

In the following 'Bend It Like Beckham, which was a box office hit in the U.K and U.S.' there is a punctuation error. 'U.K' should be 'UK'. Would someone with editing access change it? 2003:D3:FF3A:B610:208F:B740:669:6276 (talk) 10:31, 9 September 2023 (UTC)

In the birth place, there should be hyperlinks to Teddington, London or Teddington, Middlesex (preferably the latter even if Middlesex ceased to exist before Knightly’s birth. Spaceshuttle88 (talk) 00:20, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Teddington is already a link to the article for Teddington, London (formerly Middlesex). RudolfRed (talk) 00:39, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
What I meant was the birth date and place underneath the main photo used for the article. Most other articles have hyperlinks attached with birth places. For example change London, England to Teddington, Middlesex, England. Spaceshuttle88 (talk) 23:00, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
