Talk:Keimu

Latest comment: 5 years ago by Klbrain

I feel that it is better not to merge keimu with indochinese leopard in order to improve its identity, public awareness and conservation campaign, even if it is a leopard.people wont search for indochinese leopard if they want to know about the particular cat in the region. They wont know if it really exists here.

Moreover, I had tried several times putting this article in previously existing pages of indochinese leopard and black panther, but a user called bhagya mani rejected constantly. But as my article is true, it cannot be suppressed.

Needs a notability assessment as well as better citations.

Referencing and attribution of the species remains an issue here. The Manipur ENVIS centre says that Keimu is the local name for Felis temminckii , which appears to be a synonym for Catopuma temminckii (Asian golden cat). The one newspaper article claim archive doesn't seem to link to the appropriate article, so the claims are unsupported at present. Klbrain (talk) 08:45, 23 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Black panther edit

All populations of leopard may have black panther phases. It's not notable that one population of leopard in India happens to be black. Kortoso (talk) 22:44, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
