Discography edit

Her discography keeps getting longer and should have a page of it's own by now Beastbrat (talk) 23:43, 7 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

If that is done now, this article would become a stub (with just one section), which isn't proper per WP:SPLIT. Flooded with them hundreds 07:02, 8 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Reviewer: Lee Vilenski (talk · contribs) 14:17, 3 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.

If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)

I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.

Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs)

Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.

Immediate Failures edit

  • It is a long way from meeting any one of the six good article criteria -
  • It contains copyright infringements -
  • It has, or needs, cleanup banners that are unquestionably still valid. These include{{cleanup}}, {{POV}}, {{unreferenced}} or large numbers of {{citation needed}}, {{clarify}}, or similar tags. (See also {{QF-tags}}). -
  • It is not stable due to edit warring on the page. -

Links edit

Vice is okay to use for a GA nomination. If it was an FA nomination; it would not.
I've seen AllMusic be used in FA articles.
I'll remove Forbes since that is an unreliable source
Billboard is a high quality sources, and E! works fine too, as long as it is only for GA.
I've been told by other editors who edit music articles that it is.
It is not a publisher. It is a webhost. You need to specify who the creator (channel) is. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:21, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Prose edit

Lede edit

Yes, I don't know where that is going...
Removed
Removed the sources from the lead.

General edit

  • In 2020 Karol G received 4 nominations at the Latin Grammys. - probably worth summarising her Latin Grammys in total, 8 nominations, 1 win etc. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • At age fourteen, she appeared on the Colombian version of The X Factor - probably worth saying what the name of the series was, which I understand is El Factor X. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • chose "Karol G" as her artistic name. - why? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Billboard Hot Latin Songs - should probably link Billboard. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Why does Artistry have a subsection of Musical style? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • yet sporty and tomboyish — but never [cutesy]" - source says "cute", any reason to change that? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • diamond wedding ring, confirming the couple's engagement - do you mean an engagement ring? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • In July 2020, Karol G tested positive for COVID-19 - not entirely sure why this is worth mentioning. We wouldn't mention if she got the flu but was ok. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Medellín in early life is spelt wrong. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
