NPOV edit

I removed "He was a fanatic Nationalsocialist, a student leader, and a member of the Nazi SS." because of NPOV wording and no source. Jbh (talk) 15:38, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'd taken it from the [[:de:Alfred Klose (Mathematiker)] article, with Segal.2003 as the only source for the whole paragraph. Meanwhile, I found (and added) additional sources, and re-inserted the disputed claims, with explicit ascription to the sources. Hope that's ok. Possibly, "fanatic NS" could be deleted, as Dinghas says it more illustratively. - Jochen Burghardt (talk) 16:08, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Ok. The article still reads more like an attack piece than a biography. What did he do as a mathematician? Did him being a Nazi over shadow his other work? I think noting he was an informer and SS member gets the point he was not a nice guy across. Just noting "narrow views, lust for power, desire to dominate other human beings and the blind belief in ideas" for the sake of noting it seems UNDUE in such a short article. The article is that short because it's rather new; I'm continuing to search and enter more information. I didn't find anything about his mathematical work yet; apparently he hadn't a Ph.D. (or Math Genealogy isn't ware of it). Nor did I find any biographical dates yet. - Jochen Burghardt (talk) 16:30, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
OK, Thanks for cutting out that quote I mentioned. As more details are put in it might be good for "color". He sounds like he was an unpleasant chap. I will check through the resources I have to see if I can find anything more for you. JSTOR only had that one article. Jbh (talk) 20:31, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
All I found was his name was listed (as a member?) in Berliner Gesellschaft für Anthropologie, Ethnologie und Urgeschichte for the years 1914-1919. Maybe that society's records will have something more. Sorry I could not find anything else. Jbh (talk) 20:44, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Source edit

If you read German, which I do not, he seems to be mentioned in this.
