www.lakarenjeppe.com edit
This site appears to be neither a WP:RS, nor to have any biographical information on Jeppe. As it is in Armenian, if somebody wishes to dispute this assessment, I would request that they provide a translation of the relevant material here on talk (per WP:NONENG). Danish order edit
"The Danish government honoured Karen Jeppe by making her a Knight of the Legion of Honour of Denmark".
No Danish order of this name ever existed. Also, the Danish government does not award orders, only the Royal House. This information must be corrected. Who knows about this? --Thathánka Íyotake (talk) 16:07, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
- The stated honour is listed in the cited source (on p 66), which does appear to be a reliable source. On the other hand, Thathánka Íyotake does appear to be correct in that List of orders, decorations, and medals of the Kingdom of Denmark does not not list any variant of the "Legion of Honour". Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL likewise turns up no hits. I'd be in favour of removing this claim until corroboration can be found that the honour at least exists. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 17:05, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
- According to a historian on this [1] academic website she was awarded the Medal of Merit in Gold in 1927. It's more likely that this is the correct version. --Thathánka Íyotake (talk) 02:51, 18 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. Maybe the author of the book simply used "legion of honour" in a generic sense. Should be limited to the French one, though --Thathánka Íyotake (talk) 04:14, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
