Wani

"Wani" is a mythical Japanese creature.

It can variously be described as a crocodile, a shark, or a dragon.

"Kagewani" is also a mythical Japanse creature. According to the Japanese Wikipedia, it's related to stories of another creature called the Isonade. The Japanese is explicit in describing the Kagewani as a shark, not a crocodile.

With all this said, I've changed the translation in the article to refer to the Kagewani as a shark rather than a crocodile.
