Playlist

I have one playlist from the classic era of KNAC. I don't know if you still are involved with Wikipedia, or even if anybody who is not a bot actually still reads this page or not. Regardless, here is the playlist, taken from an afternoon in December of 1986. In case anyone who reads this is wondering where I got it from, the source is a series of YouTube videos. I'd link to them, but I am way too lazy to do so. Enjoy!

Hi again! I have found another KNAC playlist, and this one is from their final day on terrestrial radio, February 15, 1995. It is important to note that it covers the songs played during the final 3 hours of the station's existence. To save you all the math, the first song was played at around 11 AM Pacific Standard Time, and the last one ended at around 2 PM. Like the previous playlist I contributed, I got this one from another bunch of YouTube videos, which I just finished watching. There was a hour-long audio montage between songs 12 and 13. If anyone reading this has any knowledge of what songs played before this one, please list them below this post. In fact, this will be the last playlist contribution to this page in the foreseeable future, as I cannot find any other videos pertaining to this subject on YouTube, (or even Google, for that matter). So, if you have any KNAC playlists from sometime up to Feb. 15, '95, 11 AM, it would be most appreciated. So, without further ado, here are the last songs KNAC ever played on the 105.5 FM frequency.

I am a former KNAC staff member from Approx 1996 to 2000 and was thinking about the old days and came across the Wiki information. There is a lot of historical information missing. The whole history of When Radi owned the rights to KNAC and we "The Gang" promoted concerts in the So Cal area. To mention a few: Me..Sharon Gerald Brenda Eric "Pork" Radi Radi's Wife and many more others that took pictures at concerts and donated their time to organize events and sales of merchandise. I would like to see some of you that were involved add some history to this Wiki or email me and I will compile it and add it. It has to be done right and in a neutral manner. Early, early KNAC

It is my understanding that KNAC originally was a subscriber muzak station for local Long Beach merchants. Muzak was played from 10AM to 6PM--normal business hours. Around 1967 or so the owners (Jim Hardin?) were approached about allowing hippies(?) to broadcast long form music from 6PM to midnight if they could bring in sponsors. This was the beginning of free form KNAC that eventually proved to be more lucrative than the subscriber service. Don Bunch was possibly the instigator of this early version of KNAC.
