The call letters KHAT were originally assigned to a daytime-only AM country music station located on West McDowell Road in Phoenix, AZ. I was a disk jockey at that station, which was sold around 1970 when the station's owner, Ray Odom, took a job as station manager at a newer and more powerful 24-hour country station. The station's subsequent history is discussed at the Wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KPHX.
What I know about the station comes from memory. I was a disk jockey at the station before it was sold. I don't have the time to update this page, but perhaps someone who does would find it useful to link the two articles. -- Jack Quinn Jquinn77 (talk) 17:56, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
