Did another station in Muscogee have the call letters KBIX before the one featured in this article?

I'm curious because the infobox says that the station went on the air in 1975. On the other hand, an item in Radio Daily magazine in 1937 (See new "History" section) shows KBIX in Muscogee as a member of the Oklahoma Network in 1937.Eddie Blick (talk) 02:24, 19 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

I can't add to the article because I don't have a quotable source but I believe either Blick is correct about a second station at one point or the history goes back farther than listed. I came here looking for information about a man who did the liner notes for a quartet album. Man's name was "Budd Harvey" (could be "Bud" names are often misspelled on album jackets) and he was stated to be the host of "Sunday with the Quartets" on KBIX Muskogie Oklahoma. Perhaps someone more local to Muskogie (or with access to Newspapers.com) can find a quotable source re:Budd Harvey and other personalities from KBIX' history. There is no release year on the album jacket but a site dedicated to Southern gospel history dates it at 1965 so that suggests at least one more decade of KBIX needs accounted for.
