- The JAP were essentially rationing boards, supposedly designed to alleviate the chronic shortages of basic foodstuffs and supplies that were affecting the country, self-created shortages which were caused by the Allende policy of freezing prices and raising wages.
- These Allende-controlled, politically-motivated local groups determined who received foodsupplies and, just as importantly, who did not. They were a cornerstone project in the long term goal of building a command-and-control, Soviet-style economy in Chile.
Tell me how the above statements are fact and not your own opinion. Tell me, can you prove each and every one of your comments with documents? Please notice Wikipedia has a neutrality policy. I don't think you can get away with the above. ☆ CieloEstrellado 02:46, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

The short article is not a good starting point to elaborate on this interesting social organ of poder popular (popular power). It was introduced incorrectly. Since a JAP per se constitutes an entity; a social organ or unit, it should have been entered into Wikipedia in singular form: Junta de Abastecimientos y Precios, not in plural. (eg. as in Parliament, or Soviet (council)). In the first sentenced they should have been briefly defined eg. A JAP is an organ of poder popular or workers democracy…etc. Then there should have been an explanation of the nature or root source of this power or democracy eg. workers as opposed to bourgeois or workers as opposed to employers; revolutionary as opposed to institutional.
