Hi Zawed, nice work, have we run out of Kiwi and Aussie BofB aces now...?! You'll have to get onto the Poles and Czechs next...! My only suggestion is that his portrait at the Canadian govt website really should be PD but I couldn't spot copyright info and don't know Canadian rules -- maybe Nikki can assist? Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 12:05, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
It'll be PD in Canada as a pre-1949 photo; the trick will be identifying US status without publication details. The image is credited to the Canadian Virtual War Memorial so perhaps they'd have more info? Nikkimaria (talk) 14:15, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Tks so much for prompt response, Nikki -- Zawed, will leave to you to pursue if you deem worthwhile (might well be if you have more of these Canadian bios up your sleeve)... Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 15:06, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Ian Rose, Nikkimaria, Digging around, that image looks to have been published in the Montreal Gazette in 1940/1941, so will upload to Commons. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 23:15, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
