I came across this article while trying to clean up the Jefferson Davis article concerning his final years, as well as update my wifi-only laptop in a library. I was surprised to learn about this Davis' utopian experiment from Foner's book, and cannot figure out what was going on with this article. I don't have time to find, much less read the supposed references previously given. I simply divided the former "Biography" section into subsections more easily read on a mobile devise, and combined both sections mentioning his personal life. The article fails to mention the Hamer children, grandchildren to whom this Davis supposedly bequeathed his estate, which was subject to extensive litigation.Jweaver28 (talk) 21:18, 10 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
