Huntsman's support for Romney should be sourced

I am not a doubter, and so I believe Huntsman supports Romney, but to have such a thing in the article, there should be a source given.Johnpacklambert 20:17, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Annual formal family photo

The Huntsman family has a tradition which may be common amongst large, rich, American families - I thought I would share here in case it was deemed worthy enough to be in the article.

Each Christmas, my uncle-in-law receives a christmas card with a photo of the entire Huntsman family. When I say entire, I mean Jon Huntsman, Sr and his wife; their nine children, and their spouses; and grandchildren (eight of the nine families have four or more children). Apart from the logistics of getting this many people (about 80-90 I think) in one place at the one time, all the males are dressed in the same formal-ish outfit, as are all the females. Outfits are different each year. Each card has the full photo on the front, and an annotated (outlined, with numbers) diagram and list of names on the inside. My uncle isn't a close friend or anything - he is a senior engineer at a bootmaking company in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia - I think the link is some distant business acquaintance - leading me to believe they send out thousands of these things.

Obviously this is an expensive deal, and when I did some googling to find that Jon Huntsman Sr is a billionaire businessman, and Jon Huntsman Jr is Governor of Utah, I realised the cost is no big deal for them, even taking into account buying/making all the matching outfits, and flying people from across the US for it.

Is this kind of thing weird or unusual enough to warrant mentioning in the article? -- Chuq 09:42, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

We should actually make "Jon Huntsman" a disambiguity page. I am not sure about "John Huntsman".

Fortunantly such a disambiguity page already exists. We might want redirects from things like "Jon M. Huntsman" and "Jon Huntsman Sr."Johnpacklambert 20:20, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

(((You maybe bending things to disrespect Mr. Huntsman. He has been interviewed by Glen Beck, but to say he is force behind Beck's ideas would be stretching things. Neither Huntsman or his sons have made the claims, Beck makes. Huntsman interviews seem to stay on the thread, that helping other people, is his goals in life. My thoughts are that Beck has attached his wagon to whomever allowed it and for a mentoring relationship to exist there would need to be a consensual agreement to mentor by Mr. Huntsman. Wikipietime (talk) 20:57, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Tsumani approaching with talk of Huntsman being the leaker to Harry Reid

Firstly, I disavow any knowledge or credibility to the stories beginning to circulate that he may have leaked to Harry Reid that Mitt Romney paid no taxes for multiple years. I making this entry on as a reference point for further discussion as to the speculation on whether Huntsman will weigh in on the issue; either denying or admitting. I am trying to maintain a NPOV and the fact that I have taken action by making this entry does not in anyway intend to give credibility to the stories validity, Ok? I am considering adding a section to the article, titling it == 2012 Election Campaign == since the elder Huntsman has become vocal in identifying that he was not the leaker; as stated by him; "That's absolutely false,” Huntsman told Sargent. Maybe not for a section, but Huntsman Sr. is undoubtedly a mover and shaker in the GOP and his statement, if analyzed in detail, is quite telling of opinion on Mitt Romney. I would say and it probably could be substantiated, that he is the most significant, private businessman to date weighing in on the issue. It seems notable to me, in the life of Huntsman and the 2012 race. I am not sure what is meant by; "just to deny rank speculation", could you explain? Wikipietime (talk) 21:32, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
