"However, personal problems and plagues kept him rooted in the Delta..." -- were there any human plagues in the Mississippi Delta after 1905? or were there livestock plagues resulting in restrictions in people's movements? or was it meant in the same sense as the verb (eg "poverty plagues the area")? or perhaps locally it can mean environmental disasters (eg droughts and floods)? regardless, i think it needs a ref -- Oniscoid (talk) 01:45, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
