Talk:Johnnie Mortimer

I had a dig around, because "Clare Suffolk" seemed a very unlikely real name, and a google search revealed that it was the name of a small town in Suffolk.

Taking the BFI site into account (cited on the main page), and looking at how it reports the place Johnnie died, it's at worst highly probable that Mortimer used a diminuitive of his real name (John) and Clare was where he was born - I don't think the Independent intended to imply that Clare (conventionally a girl's name) was his real name.
