– "John Wilmot" should redirect to John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester, a clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (10,120 views last month compared to 849 for all others) BDD (talk) 20:49, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Maybe so. Looking over the current list, it's perhaps not an uncommon surname in Commonwealth realms (I haven't heard it in the US, but it's probably happened). But if there were other notable John Wilmots, where are there articles? Right now, we appear to have six politicians with fairly unremarkable careers (and the pageviews to match) against a poet who continues to be studied over three centuries after his death. He's not Shakespeare, he's not Pushkin, but in addition to the pageviews, he meets the PTOPIC criterion of long-term significance: "has substantially greater enduring notability and educational value than any other topic associated with that term." In the first two pages, I see only three results not related to the Restoration poet: a LinkedIn profile, a Facebook profile, and an actor. --BDD (talk) 18:05, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support move: the poet appears to be primary topic, so the base name should redirect to him. PamD 18:54, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per above. bd2412 T 21:33, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
