This article would be greatly improved by replacing the references to the Dickenson web site with good secondary sources. See WP:42. Regards, Ariconte (talk) 05:25, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Controversy over "Invention" and "inventor" edit

The story of John W. Dickenson would not be complete without a thorough exploration of the controversy over the use of "inventor" for the hang glider. All of the mechanical art in the ski kites that he built was solidly in public domain from noteworthy literature. It can be traced how one man got on a campaign many decades late and thrusted the "inventor" title through channels; that title for mechanical global invention is untenable. Wikipedia would do well to open a section about the controversy, so that noteworthy sources could be referenced to show that the controversy is now part of the Dickenson legacy. 68.126.250.70 (talk) 17:35, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Be bold but don't forget reliable sources. Regards, Ariconte (talk) 19:28, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
