The John Slater of at least some mathematical accomplishment clicks through to this disambiguation -- and is then disambiguated out of existence.

I'm not sure that there should be a WP:redlink to John Slater the mathematician, but I have disambiguated the link in Wave function and added it here too, so if anyone types in 'John Slater' looking for him, they are at least directed to an article which mentions him.
