Edit to delete the editorial comment (originating from the Congressional biography page) indicating that Clarkstown is now known as New City. In fact, Clarkstown is still the proper designation for the Town and New City was then, and remains merely a hamlet within that Town, albeit the location of Town Hall.
It is believed by some that Congressman Wood lived on Greenbush Road in what is now known a West Nyack NY, another hamlet of Clarkstown in a house that remains standing to date. However, that fact can not be established with enough certainty for this article.
