The term "Old Probs" was used for weather predictors in the 19th century, beginning, apparently, in 1871. Follow this link for some of its uses. It undoubtedly means "Old Probabilities," and seems to have been first applied to the weather predictions of the U.S. government. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 14:24, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
