I think it would be better to disambiguate this article as John Byrne (painter). There are two other John Byrnes that could be described equally correctly as "John Byrne (artist)": the cartoonist and the performance artist. And frankly, this John Byrne is not the most prominent of the three artists, so I don't think he qualifies as the one most likely to be linked that way. Neither of the other two is known as a painter, so using that term would more effectively disambiguate the three artists. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 12:38, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Upon further research (the article doesn't mention it or reflect it in its categories) it appears that this Byrne is more importantly an engraver rather than painter, so perhaps that would be the better term. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 12:44, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
