I looked on FreeBMD and didn't find any records for a Joan Eadington born in 1926. I did find a marriage in Barton district, Lancashire in 1952 for a Joan E R Amor and James Eadington. https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/information.pl?r=154577488:9639&d=bmd_1669206295

Joan E R Amor was born in the same year as Joan Eadington and her birth was registered in Windsor district. https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl?start=1952&end=1952&sq=1&eq=1&type=Marriages&vol=10b&pgno=461&db=bmd_1669206295&jsexec=1&mono=0&v=MTY3Mzc5NzQ4NjplNTg4NmNmMjRjMjMxZmUwNDk1MDZkNzU0NGViOWY1ZTI3NGQxYzYz&searchdef=sq%3D1%26type%3DMarriages%26db%3Dbmd_1669206295%26surname%3Damor%26eq%3D4%26start%3D1952%26given%3Djoan%26end%3D1952&action=Find

She was living in the Lake District in 1998 - https://www.newspapers.com/clip/116505240/the-advertiser-and-salford-city-reporter/. The death record below says that her last residence was Cumberland.

I found a death record for Joan Edith Rosina Eadington, who died on 27 November 2017. As one of her middle names was Edith, and her married name was Eadington, I wonder if she mixed the two together to make her second pen name of Joan Eadith?

I think they're the same person, but I'm not sure enough to put it in the article.

A relative edited the article a couple of years back to add her year of death, but someone reverted it as they hadn't provided a source (!). I think this is undoubtedly the same person Svejk74 (talk) 18:48, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'll add the information to the article. Skycloud86 (talk) 14:08, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
This feels like it's veering sharply into WP:OR territory. We really ought to have something published with editorial oversight and a reputation for fact-checking for claims like this IMHO. While I'm fairly certain the official records are correct, I don't think it's usable unless it specifically identifies that this is the correct person. Putting the pieces together in this way really doesn't sit right with me. Additionally, we've had incidents in the past where someone has made an account which claims to be a relative of the subject and made false claims before - maybe I'm too jaded by the abuse I've seen people inflict in the past to be able to trust the claims of a single-purpose account. stwalkerster (talk) 21:06, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I've had a look around and as far as I can find, there's little about her after the 1990s. I'll revert my changes for now and see if anything comes up at some point. Skycloud86 (talk) 13:56, 24 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
