Owner of brand and owner of the factory that make the branded car, are two thing.

It is no doubt Renault Brilliance Jinbei made cars, but according to this news https://dy.163.com/article/FLCQPGBP0512B07B.html, it seems the brand is still (partially?) owned by Shenyang Jinbei Automotive the listed company, which authorised Brilliance Shineray to use the brand. Not sure the listed company owned the rights to use the brand on any car, or in 1992 split, only on a limited types of automobile. Matthew hk (talk) 02:20, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
