Death edit

Currently we only have a Facebook posting to confirm Jimmy's passing. I will update the reference to a proper news source as and when this gets reported in the media. Thanks. Lonegroover (talk) 09:18, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

That group posting is not publicly viewable and, since it's not from the family, probably doesn't even qualify as WP:SELFPUB. As far as Wikipedia can tell, he's still alive at the moment. Chubbles (talk) 04:44, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes but I knew Jimmy and know from the family that he died on 15th November. Wikipedia is therefore currently giving wrong information about him. I know that original research is not allowed but at the moment the Facebook post is all we have to go on as a public statement. Lonegroover (talk) 08:40, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
I've had direct email confirmation of his death from a friend of his, together with a notice of his funeral (in Croydon on 9 December). But, still nothing that we can publish, I assume. Ghmyrtle (talk) 12:38, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is becoming increasingly bizarre. We know for sure that he died on 15th November 2022 - I've seen the funeral card, and brief mentions of his death on friends' Facebook pages. But despite contacting the local press, music press, national press, websites, etc., there is still nothing published that we can treat as a reliable source. It's odd. Jimmy justice(jay, family name)who was my brother in law.died in the 15th November 2022. 51.37.137.51 (talk) 21:55, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Some editors know, from anecdotal but firm evidence - that this is true. However - and this has become increasingly bizarre - is that his death has, so far as we know, not been publicly reported in any reliable source - not in the local papers, not in the music press, not even in a reputable music blog or record company site. And, until that happens, we should not report it here. If it has been reported on some site or in some other source that we can use, please let us know. Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:43, 4 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Change of name edit

Anecdotally, it seems that he changed his surname, perhaps by deed poll, from Little to Justice, at some point. Do we have, or can we find, a source for that? Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:40, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
