VVM's sex trafficking series

This is a new section; well written and informative, but the Larkin page is about Larkin. this addition is out of place. Better to incorporate into the article on sex trafficking, or Backpage. Number of witnesses

Regarding recent update concerning number of witnesses at the trial of Jim Larkin, available sources indicate that the number of prosecution witnesses during the Sept. trial was four, not two.

This seems to be a misinterpretation of the cited article:

Ruelas, Richard. "Federal judge declares mistrial for Backpage executives accused of facilitating prostitution". The Arizona Republic. Retrieved 2021-09-15.

The article states that “Brnovich ruled that two witnesses, a woman who was sold on Backpage as a teen and an expert, crossed the line.” The piece later identifies these witnesses as Jessika Svengard and Sharon Cooper.

But there were more than 2 witnesses during the 8 day trial. A ruling by the current judge in the case, which is available at https://casetext.com/case/united-states-v-lacey-44, mentions 4: Cooper, Svengard, her mother Nacole, and Brian Fichtner.

Change in death location

According to several news reports, including the NY Post, Larkin killed himself in the town in Superior, Arizona. He did not kill himself in Paradise Valley. Also added new trial date of August 29. Encyclopediawoman (talk) 22:43, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
