Gas Tax edit
There already is a gas tax in NH. Jim Coburn proposed eliminating it for the summer tourism season and that idea was quickly rejected by Gov. Lynch. He said that some time in the future (many years down the road) the gas tax could be increased to pay for incentives to use ethanol and hydrogen cell fuel. The line that says Jim announced his support for an gas tax is silly and should be revised (or removed). | As a NH (non-partisan) resident, in my experience it is extremely unusual for a candidate to use recorded telemarketing nuisance calls to spam the state for a primary election. I think this is notable enough to be included in Mr. Coburn's biographical page. That should not be deleted, even if his hired PR firm started this page and is monitoring this page carefully for any unapproved details. That is not the purpose of Wikipedia. Reputable people use the National No-Call List to avoid making unwanted calls to residents. Even though it is not the law. For the nuisance calls to be used during a primary for a state-wide election is newsworthy. It may influence my voting decision, and I expect it might for others wishing to learn about Mr. Coburn. Just because his hired PR firm doesn't want this fact included in his biography does not make its deletion a valid edit. |
