Date of life support removal

I've copyedited a little; please revert if necessary.

• His body was cremated and his ashes were given to his family is uncited.
• I didn't understand the discussion of compression; is this referring to gain compression?
• There are some Harvard errors in the footnotes: 7, 17, and 18 don't link to the refs.
