Update to role edit

Hello! I am a Schneider Electric employee here on behalf of the company. Understanding that I have a financial conflict of interest, I will use this Talk page to present edit requests for community editors to review, and will not make edits to the article.

I have a few simple updates to this article to correct Jean-Pascal Tricoire's role. As of 2023, he has stepped down as CEO of Schneider Electric but will remain Chairman until 2025. (See also the company website.)

Would it be possible to make the following edits:

  • Change the introduction from "Since 2006, Tricoire has been serving as chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric." to "Tricoire is the chairman of Schneider Electric, and served as the company's CEO from 2006 to 2023."[1]
  • Amend the Occupation in the infobox to "Chairman of Schneider Electric"
  • Under Leadership of Schneider Electric, add a new sentence stating "In May 2023, Tricoire stepped down as CEO of the company but remained its chairman."[1]

Help with these updates is truly appreciated. Thank you! Beatriz at Schneider Electric (talk) 08:13, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 19:40, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey, User:Mattdaviesfsic! Thanks for reviewing this request. Over on the Schneider page, I implemented the infobox change because it was a very small one. This one's slightly more substantial and I feel less comfortable making it myself. Would you mind handling it? Let me know, and thanks again! Just letting User:Mattdaviesfsic know that I have now made the changes myself. Again, I really appreciate the help! Beatriz at Schneider Electric (talk) 08:04, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Update on external links edit

Hello! I'm back with two small edit requests to update the E8xternal Links section.

1/ The Schneider Electric link should direct to the company web site. Please replace the url with this one: www.se.com

2/ The current Davos links are outdated an we'd like to replace them with the 2022 and 2023 ones:

For 2022: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7JRC5CM-HM

For 2023: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-PYF-Lypm8

One last change in the Business Position box: can we add Peter Herweck in the "Succeded by" box? This change has already been updated in Schneider Electric wikipedia page where the refferences to the sources are included.

Thanks!! Beatriz at Schneider Electric (talk) 11:57, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: Beatriz at Schneider Electric, I've implemented the first few edits. I have not implemented the final one because the successor parameter is for titles or governmental offices, and generally not company positions. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 01:51, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot for your support! Beatriz at Schneider Electric (talk) 08:46, 12 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Modifications to improve the sourcing and the “References” section edit

Hi! I’m back with a new request. We’d like to do some modifications to improve the article.

First modification:

Some of the “References” need to be updated. Please, find here the updated “References” section:

Reference 5. Correct typo, it should be “Universal” instead of the current “Univarsal”.

Reference 14. Please remove this reference as it’s the same one as number 4. Also modify the reference to 14 number in the section “Personal life” to refer to number 4. "Jean-Pascal Tricoire, le patron-voyageur de Schneider". Les Echos (in French). 2006-05-03. Retrieved 2019-09-25.

New references to add:

14. "Board of Trustees". Northeastern University.

15. "Membership". Asia Business Council.

16. “Energy and resource efficiency”. www.b20italy2021.org.

17. “Women’s Empowerment Principles recognizes Schneider Electric with 2015 CEO Leadership Award for advancing women’s equality”. Mybroadband.co.za. 2019-03-19.

Second modification:

On February 10, @Left guide removed one line in “Early Career” section due to lack of source. This was the line:

In 2003, he was appointed Deputy CEO and COO of Schneider Electric .

Source: Reference #1 in this same article.

We request to add it back now that we have provided the source.

Third modification:

In the section “Boards and organizations” we would like to add the following version of the current text:

Tricoire is a director of the worldwide board of the UN Global Compact.[Ref #6]

He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Northeastern University, Boston since June 2019. [Ref #14]

He is a member of the International Advisory Council of the Singapore Economic Development Board [Ref #9] and a member of the Asia Business Council. [Ref #15]

Tricoire has served as a member of Qualcomm’s Board of Directors since July 2020. [Ref 11]

Tricoire has represented Schneider as a UN HeForShe Corporate IMPACT champion working with heads of state, universities, and other companies to advance gender equality. Under his leadership, Schneider has gone from 3% representation of women in leadership 15 years ago, to 20% representation today, with a goal to make that at least 30% by 2020. [Ref #7]

He was a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, from 2019 to 2023.[Ref #9]

He was Co-Chair of the Energy & Resource Efficiency Taskforce, B20 (Italy) in 2021. [Ref #16]

He has represented Schneider Electric in Russia's Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC). [Ref #10]

Last modification:

In the section “Recognition”, we would like to add this text between the two current paragraphs:

In 2015, he received the CEO Leadership Award for Advancing Women’s Equality at the Women’s Empowerment Principles Event, a joint initiative of UN Women and the UN Global Compact. [Ref #17]

Do not hesitate to let me know if you need any clarification. Thank you! Beatriz at Schneider Electric (talk) 09:13, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
