Talk:Jean-Joseph de Mondonville

Current reception edit

It should be mentioned in the article that, although critics of the mid-18th century preferred Mondonville's music over that of Rameau, Mondonville's music is little known and rarely performed today. Badagnani (talk) 02:35, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Where Mondonville fits re baroque->classical edit

I came to WP this time to see where Mondonville fits re baroque->classical -- but not much luck: He's in the baroque WP category but it's not mentioned in his article and he's not on the sub-period lists. If anyone knows more, i and others would appreciate something more detailed being added. (Posted to his article and Talk:List_of_Baroque_composers and Talk:List_of_Classical_era_composers.) He's Baroque. Maybe with a bit of style galant. --Folantin (talk) 20:45, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
