This article seems like it is just starting to gain traction. There is a lot more information that could be added to make it better. For starters, I would definitely add multiple sections such as History, Demographics, Schools, Events, Natural Disasters, etc. There are currently no distinguishing sections. Also, I am not quite sure why there are three phrases in the beginning of the article that direct the readers to other sites. I would omit this, as these external links will make readers less likely to read the article. There is also subjective information such as "The river is one of the best places to observe the Amazonian wildlife...". When writing a Wikipedia article, it is important to stay subjective and to use multiple sources to back up this information. Please check your grammar as well. I noticed some sentences without a period and sentences with unnecessary commas. Many facts are also missing proper citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Melinda.an (talkcontribs) 19:22, 20 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think right now it is informative but very 'bare bones.' I felt confused and had to read the "but only 260 were found suitable for steam navigation," part over again. I also needed context regarding what the Shino and Jaquirana were. I would want some reasoning as to why it is the 'best places to observe Amazonian wildlife.' Did it win an award? I also think it would be an improvement if any mention of its use in folklore/literature could be included. It would also be useful to talk about its past vs. current state, and if it used to be used more for anything (fishing?) or if it is heavily polluted today. Please refer to the person above me regarding grammatical issues. Overall, solid but can be improved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shannonk2799 (talkcontribs) 03:33, 21 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
