Several books describe Loeb's role in The Quiet One and other films, and her collaboration with Levitt, Meyers, Agee. None of them verify the name Janice Loeb Levitt, or suggest in any way that her birth date might be December 6, 1902, or November 8 1913. for that matter. Nor do any verify a death date of February 18, 1996.

None of the above records suggest a birth name of Janice Loeb Levitt. All of these are primary sources with nothing to tie them to the secondary sources that describe the film maker Janice Loeb.
