Greek origin

Jani Papadhopulli is certainly of Greek origin.

Papadhopulli derives from the very common Greek surname Papadopoulos (Παπαδόπουλος), literally meaning "son of a priest", as I said, it is very common in Greece, especially in Peloponnese. And Jani reminds of a Greek first name: Γιάννης, pronounced somewhere in between Jiannis and Yiannis, meaning John.

I don't really care who who is, this entomology is clear, and your opinion is not relevant even more per this pro-albanian POV sentence above. He is Greek origin, and you cannot do anything about that, except finding source that claim different. --Tadija^taking 16:36, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

It's spelt ethymology: the entomology is the science that studies the bees and other bugs, but I guess you are referring to the ethymology of the word. There are Papadopulos in Italy, are they Greek too? --Sulmues _talk 20:34, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Well the name "Papadopoulos" almost certainly implies Greek origin, however this individual obviously did not identify as Greek (after all, he did sign the Albanian declaration of independence), so I won't insist here. Athenean (talk) 20:40, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
