Should the page be locked or semi-locked for a while?

I just wondered if the page should be locked for a while before the sad but now usual trolling starts up? Groovycathers 08:54, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I must agree, looking back at the recent history from the day alone, the amount of trolling and vandalism is abhorrent, as sad as it may be. I'm all in favour of this page being locked or semi-protected until the sad reprobates get bored of this pointless and insensitive behaviour. Mcdoof 21:27, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

birthplace

I thought I would raise this maybe someone can answer this. According to the article Jane Tomlinson was born in Wakefield but has been regarded by the press in Liverpool many times that she was born in Crosby(a Liverpool suburb), so I am wondering which is correct? I'm not sure, the Telegraph obit says Rothwell, West Yorkshire, the Times Wakefield and the BBC also appears to say Rothwell. I'm not sure which we can believe, the actual birth GRO registration would be good.--UpDown (talk) 07:20, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

The article I have just read is clear that she lived in Rothwell but was born in Wakefield. This was written by a journalist that knew her and helped write her books. I think it's correct. PeterM88 (talk) 17:49, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
