Remove "this article relies on primary sources" tag edit

I would like to make changes to this article, but because I am a paid editor (paid by the University of Toronto) I would like to run these changes on the Talk page first. In particular, I would like to remove the "This article relies on references to primary sources" box. I think the simplest way to remove this box is by removing references 3,4,5 and 6. However, I don't want to get flagged for conflict of interest. Can anyone help? Varblues69 (talk) 18:42, 5 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • But references 1 and 2 are sort of primary sources, and they dont really contain much information about Rutka. Removing the other references would leave very little on this article, making it a stub. References shouldnt be removed just because the article relies on them. The best way to remove the box would be to add some secondary and tertiary sources. Benboy00 (talk) 02:35, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
    • Thanks for the information. I will look for secondary and tertiary sources. Varblues69 (talk)

Conflict of interest reminder edit

Editors who are in any way "connected" with this person, as well as editors who have any personal or professional motivation to see that this person has a "good" Wikipedia article, should read WP:Conflict of interest, WP:Undue weight, and WP:NOTPROMO. In fact, editors with a real "conflict of interest" should avoid making "edits of substance" directly to this article at all. Instead, they should propose a change on this talk page.

The mere fact that this person was awarded Order of Ontario makes notability a non-issue. However, that's not grounds to turn this article into a comprehensive writeup of his professional life. Just highlight his most important contributions to medicine and leave it at that.

If he wins a Nobel Prize or some equivalent award, then the general public will be more interested in the less-important aspects of his career. Until then, shorter is better. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:33, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
