I'm not sure if this person is independently notable, however, the name could be redirected and mentioned at Timeline of the 2011–2012 Yemeni revolution (January – 2 June 2011)#18 March. The section covers the event in a broader context. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 17:59, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Support. al-Sharaabi does not appear to be independently notable; for example, a Google search of Al Jazeera English shows only one trivial mention of him, despite their coverage of the Yemeni revolution generally.[1] It's always hard to be sure about Google searches for transliterated Arabic names, though, so if there are more sources under another spelling, I'd be happy to revisit my vote. Opposed: He was the first journalist to die covering the Yemen uprising. There are articles on other journalists who were the first to die in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, and Bahrain. Most of the searches have to be done on Arabic site or through a dedicated database like Lexis Nexis.Crtew (talk) 22:03, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
