  • Evan Williams (2009). "The Terror Trail". Dateline. Retrieved 2010-06-12. Lashkar's raids in India, culminating in the Mumbai attacks, means that it's banned, even in Pakistan. But the UN and US say they are simply operating here under a new name - Jamaat-ud-Dawa. This was Jamaat-ud-Dawa's first public gathering since the attack on Mumbai. India has accused its leader of being the mastermind and security was tight. Yet the organisation claims it is nothing more than an Islamic charity, and denies it is a front for Lashkar-e-Taiba. For a charitable organisation, we were surprised by its violent rhetoric.

Aid in 2010 Pakistan Floods edit

Would it be noteworthy to mention that JuD has been giving humanitarian aid in the current (august 2010) flood in Pakistan, and gaining support from locals in this manner? 188.61.40.114 (talk) 17:42, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Most definitely. Make sure to include a reliable source though.--RDavi404 (talk) 20:35, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Notability of the group" section relevant? edit

I am attempting to merge this article with the LeT article. However, the structures (or lack thereof) of the two articles do not make it easy to merge. In particular, the section "Notability of the group" lists three detainees who proclaim to have been members of groups with similar names to JuD. It isn't even particularly clear that they are referring to the same group, and the details listed do not really add much to the overall article. If no one objects, I would like to remove this whole section altogether so that we can merge the two articles. Thanks. --RDavi404 (talk) 02:18, 4 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
