Served in the 12th Special Forces Group out of Moffett Field in Mountainview, California. Was among some of the first American Special Operations Forces into Kuwait City during its liberation. Veteran of the Persian Gulf War. His Detachment was awarded the Army Valorous Unit Citation, the unit equivalent of the Silver Star Medal. Spent 13 years in the United States Army Reserve in Infantry and Special Operations units.
