School of the Americas edit

I can find no corroborating evidence that Jack Metcalf voted to close the School of the Americas. The only evidence I can find is on a website that has the exact same sentence as printed on Wikipedia, indicating that it was copy-pasted from that site. The official SOA Watch website, www.soaw.org, lists Jack Metcalf as voting against SOA closure. Because of this, I'm removing the SOA clause in this biography, unless someone can find substantial evidence in the congressional record proving otherwise. Whitewashing his history of racism edit

How is there nothing about his long history of racism. He is quoted as saying black people couldnt be trusted to govern themselves, and had a long history of racism towards First Nations people, not just the Makah, so it didn’t surprise anyone when he was “suddenly” against whale hunting, even though he was a proud and avid hunter himself. 2601:98A:202:3A00:408C:38F8:1828:C0BF (talk) 13:24, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
