DI Jack Branning? edit

Should he still be referred to as DI? We have Dougie Slade as DS Dougie Slade, even though he's retired... -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 23:46, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Background edit

"the character existed as a referenced but previously unseen member of the soap's Branning family." - Jack was never referenced until he appeared on-screen, same as Max. anemoneprojectors 23:56, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Was there not some references to him from Bradley about inviting him to the wedding? I cant remember. Gungadin 00:03, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Bradley mentioned Jack about a week before he arrived. Also, Max was referenced when Bradley arrived, five months before his arrival :) -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 00:03, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
A week is nothing. The article gives the impression he was mentioned when there were no plans for him to appear on screen. He was referenced because he was due to arrive. anemoneprojectors 00:11, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Maybe it should be changed to say that "The character, a member of the soap's long established Branning family", had never been seen or mentioned until a week before his first appearance on-screen." If that really was the first time, what about that time when Max and Jim were arguing about Jim always hated Max and favouring other children. Was he mentioned then? 00:23, 25 February 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gungadin (talkcontribs)
Maybe it should be changed to say that "The character was invented one day even though nobody had ever spoken about him before, espcially at April's wedding when all the family was invited. He seemingly appeared out of thin air." Can we also say that he has the most annoying voice in the history of the soap? :) anemoneprojectors 00:38, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
And that he's really just Phil Hunter with a different name? We could do something similar on Clare's article too! -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 00:50, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Only with Clare, it's the same name. anemoneprojectors 01:13, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

lol @ you two. I'm quite liking Clare, but I dont watch Hollyoaks to compare, and she is nothing like the character she used to be on EE. Perhaps we should also mention that Jack has ears like Dumbo.Gungadin 01:19, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm also quite liking Clare, and I also don't watch Hollyoaks to compare, but there you go. I think we should definitely mention his Dumbo ears. anemoneprojectors 09:38, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Date of Birth? edit

I recently posted Jack's birthdate as 12 September 1972 as Max mentioned it when he was cancelling the ferry tickets. So why did somebody take it off? Please do not remove it after I repost it.

This article needs a cleanup edit

well it does Sir jude 100 (talk) 10:39, 20 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, many of the EastEnders pages do. They're being worked on, gradually. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 10:42, 20 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Divorce edit

How long until we mark Ronnie and Jack's marriage as being over? Roxy said Jack would have gotten his letter by now. Arjoccolenty (talk) 13:51, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

That doesn't mean they are divorced, it just means that Ronnie has filed for divorce. For all we know Jack could contest it, meaning the divorce process could drag on for years! We cant change their marital status until its been clarified on the show. Bleaney (talk) 16:52, 17 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
