Notability template edit

I was not able to find "reliable secondary sources" for JOSM. Looks like this editor is mentioned only in OSM ecosystem (and I put as many different links from this ecosystem as possible), because it's used as internal tool for contributors. Yet it's one of the most important OSM-related software (and has for example 9 other language versions in Wikipedia), so I guess the notability template should be removed. - kocio (talk) 04:37, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

NPOV edit

While in general factual, the last sentance seems to be extremly biased "The software lends itself to more serious work with the OpenStreetMap data, like imports[16]." not only is the seriousness of work clearly indpendent of the tool used to perform it, "imports" are not more or less serious than any other work in OSM. I would suggest striking the sentance. SimonPoole (talk) 09:26, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

I was merely trying to include that reference to get rid of the notability template. Feel free to rewrite that sentence or remove it, but keep the reference. What I meant is that doing an import of that scale in a reasonable timeframe would have been an impossible endeavour. On the other hand, I agree the TIGER import wasn't the best example of a successful import. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Polyglot (talkcontribs) 11:29, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
