Radical edit

Ok so if someone asks someone if they are a Radical and the person responds by saying, "I'm about as radical as Cotton Tom Heflin", what do they mean by that? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ray1416 (talkcontribs) 13:50, 17 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

You got that from To Kill a Mockingbird, didn't you? I'm not sure, but I'm bound to find out soon enough. It might even make the article if a citation can be found for it. --Starstriker7(Dime algoor see my works) 00:28, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Common name edit

Regarding the move of this page, Tom Heflin (38%), J. Thomas Heflin (33%), Thomas Heflin (16%), and James Heflin (7%) are the only iterations of Heflin's name that constitute over 5% of references to him on newspapers.com. While Tom is the most common form by a plurality, Thomas is more common, and J. Thomas is more common than Thomas on its own. Star Garnet (talk) 05:44, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
