Reverts of my edits edit

User:Theanonymousentry, I don't understand why you continue to revert my edit to this page. PNG clubs were removed from the infobox, the lead was reworded, his medal achievements added (as have been done with other players, such as Ase Boas), and tidied the body paragraph. Why is interpreted as vandalism and why do you continue to revert? Narkova (talk) 12:26, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand yours! You removed his playing history and I AGF wrongly that it was not vandalism, but a finger slip and yet you returned the removal of his career.Theanonymousentry (talk) 12:31, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
His PNG domestic career does not go in the infobox. Only NRL and the top three tiers of the British rugby league system are notable enough for this. I seem to have apparently made his history at London (Broncos and Skolars) hidden but I later made this visible again. Narkova (talk) 12:34, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Notability isn't an issue as he hasn't played in the NRL. You can't apply rationale that way, that would be wrong of you.Theanonymousentry (talk)
I don't understand how Eliab not having played in the NRL equates to his infobox including clubs outside the MOS. He passes RL's notability having played at the 2013 World Cup, and his professional matches in London should be listed additionally. Narkova (talk) 12:44, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Notability doesn't enter into the infobox, only the player deserving an article itself. The MOS was in place to stop NRL players having earlier clubs due to issues with the grade system in Australia, not to stop the ROW players having their careers detailed.Theanonymousentry (talk) 12:47, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
You raise an interesting point, however, the remainder of my edit was still constructive and did not need to be wholly reverted. Narkova (talk) 12:53, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Likewise and apologies.Theanonymousentry (talk) 13:00, 8 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
The current consensus is that the infobox only covers NRL and the English divisions (and some other historical divisions) - Qld cup or PNGRL teams don't belong in the infobox. The infobox is not intended to be a list of every club he has ever played for. Mattlore (talk) 00:54, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
That is precisely what the infobox is meant to do. The MOS applies to players who have played NRL, due to the Australian grade-system and so not to confuse Australians who do not have a promotion or relegation system, or a system where a team of greater quality can exist in a lower tier. To apply it to non-NRL teams would be taking a ruling and then applying it across the board, against the spirit and intention of the time. That very definitely was to stop feeder clubs being given equal credence to NRL clubs. To apply that elsewhere would be against the spirit, intent and ruling of the original decision.Theanonymousentry (talk) 12:11, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
The WP:Infobox only "summarizes key features of the page's subject". It isn't a comprehensive list of junior and lower level clubs. This came up last World Cup and the project decided that the infobox didn't include clubs such as Queensland Cup teams or other lower divisions. A big change like that shouldn't be made without a wider discussion. Mattlore (talk) 19:29, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Theanonymousentry:, rather than racing around with the revert button, I strongly suggest you start a conversation on the project page. Mattlore (talk) 19:30, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
