Fiddler's Elbow - units needed

The note for Fiddler's Elbow, Sandford-on-Thames reads "Fiddler’s Elbow breaks into a 1.956 northern section (broken from the 8.631 remainder) by a minor, weired meandering creek in its northern part)". What units is this using? I've had look through some recent revisions and none of them say. Thryduulf (talk) 16:18, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

Looking at the rough size of the island in OpenStreetMap I think those are hectares. -- John of Reading (talk) 18:59, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

The island in a Grand Designs episode?

Tagg's Island area

Hi - I was recently updating the Tagg's Island history and came here looking for further details. I followed the OS reference for the island's area (3.681 ha), and noticed that this figure only appears to relate to part of the island. If you look closely at 'Kent's Ait' (the island's former name), it comprises two areas: 217 (3.681) and 208 (2.084) This would appear to give a combined area of 5.765. Note the comparison to next door Ash Island (4.513 - which is also included in the article table). I didn't want to amend the table without checking I hadn't missed something. Dagger symbol † in text and table

Frog, Bermondsey, Thorney, Sheppey, Thanet, Canvey, Two Tree and Lower Horse Islands are all marked with a dagger symbol † with no key to explain the significance of that. What purpose does it serve, or should it be removed? Kevin McE (talk) 17:38, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Former Islands

Should Elmley and Harty, both former islands now fused into Sheppey by build up of silt, not be included among the former islands listed? Kevin McE (talk) 17:43, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
