GA review (see here for criteria)

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
Change "the University of Washington at Tacoma campus" to "the University of Washington Tacoma campus"
      Done --Admrboltz (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps change "The Bridge of Glass passes over I-705 as it continues north" to "The Bridge of Glass, which , links the Museum of Glass on the shorefront to downtown Tacoma, passes over I-705 as it continues north"
      Done --Admrboltz (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
"Traffic coming from Bates Technical College and South 13th Street join in" - avoid ending with a preposition
      Done --Admrboltz (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
To what extent was the construction of I-705 delayed by the environmental litigation in WSDOT v. EPA http://ftp.resource.org/courts.gov/c/F2/917/917.F2d.1309.89-1445.html?
It doesn't appear that it was, they admitted that it was part of a bigger EPA cleanup area, but it didn't seem to stop them, since they still had their EIS. --Admrboltz (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Are there any future plans for construction or seismic upgrades?
None that I could find. The thing is a glorified exit ramp, and should be refitted, but nothing so far. --Admrboltz (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
    (moving and sectioning off below)
Thank you for the average traffic. Do you have any sense of traffic on days when there are events at the Tacoma Dome?
If I did, I would have put it in. --Admrboltz (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
I am placing the article on hold. Racepacket (talk) 23:42, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • In terms of a complete history, this page has a photo of the construction of a new I-5 collector lane with the caption "When complete, the I-5 South 48th Street to Pacific Avenue project will provide a new multi-lane, northbound collector/distributor road which will include a new northbound exit to I-705, and an improved merge from SR 16." It is dated September 30, 2006.
    • That project was on I-5 between 48th and Pacific, and just resulted in a slightly different ramp than before feeding into 705, it has nothing to do with 705 its self. --Admrboltz (talk) 05:01, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/PierceCountyHOV/stagelist.htm says the bridge of I-705/SR 7 is being replaced to allow for additional HOV lanes on i-5 is "currently in design."
    • once again, a project related to I-5, not 705. From what I can tell it means the bridge that carries I-5 over 705/7. --Admrboltz (talk) 05:01, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • This page says that they would shut down the I-705 for a weekend to demolish the old bridge. (dated March 29, 2002)
    • Could, but there was nothing in any secondary sources. --Admrboltz (talk) 05:01, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
