Violation of standards? edit

From the article: "The number is a "violation" of the standards, in that it is a spur with an even-numbered designation (even-numbered three-digit routes are designated for loops while odd-numbered three digit routes are designated for spurs)."

I-630 connects I-30 to I-430. The section west of I-430 is only a few feet long, and functions as a defacto ramp from I-630 west (and I-430 north) to Shackleford Road and Financial Center Parkway. Therefore, it connects to Interstates at both ends and the even first digit is correct. Incidentally, I-630 continues a short distance east of I-30 to 15th Street, another defacto ramp.

Even-numbered 3di Interstates do not have to be loops, they have to connect to an Interstate at each end.

You're right. You could have removed that yourself by clicking edit; I have removed it. --SPUI (talk) 13:12, 28 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
