Titles of lists (as opposed to articles) edit

WP:AT – Titles: The title is not expected to contain a complete description of the list's subject. … the detailed criteria for inclusion should be described in the lead, and a reasonably concise title should be chosen for the list.

WP:NAMINGCRITERIA – Precision: Titles usually use names and terms that are precise enough to unambiguously identify the topical scope of the article, but not overly precise. Jeff in CA (talk) 23:05, 29 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Splits edit

To reduce this article's excessive size, I've split out:

Additional splits would be advisable. Could someone more familiar with the topics please check the new articles' ledes, 'see also' sections, and categories? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:32, 21 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Splits again (2023, four years later) edit

This article is getting very long again. {{Section sizes}} may be of help here:

It looks like rugby (54k), rowing (28k), archery (27k), sailing (26k), team handball (20k) and equestrian (20k) are the largest sections, and may be worth spinning out. Pinging @Pigsonthewing: who seems to have been the last person who did such a split here (though his plaint for someone more familiar seems to have gone unheard!) jp×g 09:19, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
