Are there existing pages about upgrading computers that can link to this article to make it more relevant? If not, we can create a generic CPU accelerator article and merge it with this one. We can include models like SOTA's 386si.

The article reads: "..Windows 3.0 and 3.1 (Inboard 386/AT model only" I can tell you that this is incorrect. An Inboard 386/PC in an IBM PC/XT can run Windows 3.0 and Windows 3.1 retail editions just fine. On my current IBM 5160 PC/XT I have installed an Intel InBoard/386 PC with the 4MB piggyback add-on option, I am running the retail edition of Microsoft Windows 3.1 on an IBM PC/XT in all of its glory, including running Microsoft Office 4.2 Standard (including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), Aldus PageMaker, and many other Windows 3.1 applications with ease. There were several technical bulletins that incorrectly stated that the only Windows version that would run in a PC/XT with an Intel InBoard/386PC was a special Windows 3.0.0(a) edition from Intel, but that is incorrect. Prior to having the 4M piggyback option I was running the a retail edition of Windows 3.0 on the standard 1M InBoard/386 PC. The only limitation with or without the addition memory option is that an Inboard/386 PC runs Windows 3.1 in standard mode only, not enhanced mode.
