Hello. I'm trying to create an encyclopedia article on the I3P, a consortium of academic research institutions funded by the US government to work on critical infrastructure protection issues. I appreciate any pointers on how to make this "non-spam".

Hi Marcus. I left a message on your talk page about the concerns of this page. There are several links there, including one discussing what is considered spam, and ones about reliable sources and verifiability. The reason these are important is because Wikipedia is not a directory but an encyclopedia, so reliable secondary source coverage is imperative. You did properly use the holdon tag, so you (and anyone else who so desires) has maybe a few days to improve the article. Would it be better if we move this to "Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection" and then redirect "I3P" to there? I noticed that most other abbreviated (like IEEE) organizations redirect to their full names. Marcus H. Sachs 15:50, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is no reason that this should be considered a speedy, so, not being the author, I have removed it altogether. But you do need to add sources, and fast, because there's nothing to stop someone from nominating it for speedy again. DGG 21:46, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
