  1. Per WP:NOTSTATS, "Statistics that lack context or explanation can reduce readability and may be confusing; accordingly, statistics should be placed in tables to enhance readability, and articles with statistics should include explanatory text providing context." The statistics that you wish to add to the article are not written in narrative prose. On the contrary, the entries are written as bullet points ("Conquered Subic bay for second time", etc.). As the entire article is largely already composed of these types of bullet points, the placement of additional bullet points would not be an improvement. The entire article should be rewritten as narrative prose.
  2. There is a concern with the reliability of many of the provided sources. Although the article itself does not use Citation Style 1, that reference style would be suggested for use, as it allows a better perusal of the individual reference entries, allowing an editor to better view the different components of a citation, including the publication's title, publisher, author, etc.
  3. Many of the terms used are non-specific (i.e., "conquer", which means to overcome or take control) and thus it is relatively difficult to ascertain what it was that is significant about each particular accomplishment, or what it was that is "taken control" of.
  4. Several items were described as promotional events with the goals of advocating either tourism or cleaner ecology of the particular areas mentioned. News of these items would count under WP:NOTPROMO.
